The track (18 EC) is an extracurricular programme that consists of three courses: (6 EC), (6 EC) and a (6 EC). Every 3-4 weeks we will organize Research cafes, during which students will informally discuss each other’s work under supervision of experienced researchers. In addition, researchers will be invited to share their ups and downs with the process of doing research, and share their best practices.
When all components of the track have been completed successfully (i.e. completed with at least a 6.0 each), students will receive a certificate as well as a notification on their master’s degree diploma. Students will not receive a grade for the Research Track as a whole. The RT is extracurricular, which means that the ECs cannot be used as elective credit in the regular Master programmes.
Please note: starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, students in the Master of Law programme who successfully complete the RT as a whole may include the Academic Writing Lab course as an elective in the free elective component of their Master's program.
