Ask one of our International Student Ambassadors or Alumni Ambassadors! They can give you first-hand insights and can help you discover what studying at VU Amsterdam is really like.

Our student ambassadors are current students at VU Amsterdam, while our alumni ambassadors are graduates who are now working in the Netherlands, abroad or pursuing a PhD or second Master’s degree.

All of our ambassadors are happy to share their personal experiences with you and answer your questions!

Looking for peer-to-peer tips and tricks?

Email our ambassador team at studentambassadors@vu.nl and we will match you with the right student ambassador. All our ambassadors are happy to share their personal experiences with you and answer your questions through email!
Are you visiting our campus and would you like a tour?

You can send a request to studentambassadors@vu.nl and we will schedule the tour with you. You can indicate your preferences, i.e. if you wish to have a tour organized by a student from your chosen programme, or from your home country, etc.
Other ways to meet our ambassadors
- Once you are admitted you will get access to our online pre-departure sessions. These are a series of online information events held from May - August. Each session will focus on a specific theme and will feature a panel of ambassadors who will host a live Q&A. We will regularly share the details with you through email after you have been admitted.
- After admission, you will also be invited to join the Goin’ app! With this app you can connect with fellow students, even before your arrival in the Netherlands. On this platform we also have a group of ambassadors available for you. Just search for the Ask an Ambassador group.
