Join us for an online S DG Academy about the critical integration of indigenous perspectives in research!

Integrating indigenous knowledge systems into Wes tern frameworks is essential. Too often, these frameworks overlook th e values, relational worldviews, and holistic knowledge of Indigenous communities, leading to initiatives that inadvertently perpetuate ex tractive and colonial patterns, even in well-intentioned projects lik e the green energy transition. How do we shift research from bei ng extractive to more collaborative, and how do we move towards more ethical and reciprocal research practices?

Through expert contr ibutions of our guest speakers - Myra Colis and Moné Vasquez - this online SDG Academy d elves into the critical integration of indigenous perspectives in res earch towards more ethical and reciprocal practices. In two  talks, we will explore how these elements intertwine to promote a necessary paradigm shift, particularly in fields such as sustainab ility, climate action, and resource governance.
