The Co-Creation for Inc lusive Knowledges Lab at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Vrije Univer siteit Amsterdam, is excited to announce and invite you to its first Spring School, taking place from 3 to 6 June 2025.
Cou rse Description
This Spring School aims to be a space
to (re-)imagine, (re-)design and (re-) discover practices for knowled
ge co-creation with and for those resisting injustice on all fronts;&
nbsp;taking their/our knowledges as a serious point of departure to r
e-think activism, policy making, research, art, and other forms of re
sistance praxis. It offers an opportunity to explore and expand how k
nowledge can be collectively cultivated, shared, and transformed —
with a focus on themes such as (forced) migration, education, income
inequality, and gender.
In the spirit of truly respecting and
recognizing experiences and knowledges that have historically been si
lenced or sidelined, this Spring School offers a hands-on program bri
nging together academic and societal partners from the Netherlands, K
enya, the USA, Mexico, and South Africa. The program will include cri
tical discussions, workshops, and presentations on methodologies such
as participatory action research, arts-based methods, community-base
d approaches, and other creative/hybrid practices.
The Co-Crea
tion Spring School is open to all individuals interested in knowledge
co-creation and the search for ethical and reciprocal partnersh
ips for social justice, both within and beyond academia. We welcome p
ractitioners, early-career scholars, artists, activists, and professi
