At VU Amsterdam, Anthropology goes beyond theory: you shape the kind of anthropologist you want to become.
- Choose a profile that matches your ambitions. Are you a researcher, practitioner, or creative professional? In your first year, you explore all three. In your second year, you decide which path to follow and how you want to graduate: by writing an academic article, a policy report, or producing a documentary or podcast.
- Combine with another discipline. You can combine Anthropology with Criminology, Psychology, or Political Science. Your degree will include an official annotation, building expertise in two fields.
- Do fieldwork in the Netherlands or abroad. Through our partnerships with universities and organisations in Colombia, you can do fieldwork there.
