Dates
The meetings take place on Tuesdays.

- 14 April 2026: Session 2, at an external location
- 12 May 2026: Session 3
- 2 June 2026: Session 4
Time investment
Each session lasts from 9.30 to 12.30. In between the sessions, there will be optional readings and homework. The total time investment for this course is about 24 hours.
Location
VU Amsterdam, Nieuwe Universiteitsgebouw (except for the second session).
Educators
Jaro Pichel and Wouter Buursma, both educational specialists and trainers at VU Centre for Teaching Learning. We will also invite guest speakers and experts on specific topics.
Language
This programme will be offered in English or Dutch depending on the preference of the participants. Please note that additional readings and literature will be in English.
Costs (2025/2026)
- VU employees
If you are a VU employee - or employed by ACTA, Amsterdam UMC or AUC -, most of this programme cost will be covered through internal quality funds. When participating in this programme, we charge a € 85 registration fee. We advise you to talk with your manager about a possible reimbursement of the registration fee. You can check on this page if you are eligible for reimbursement. - External candidates
Cost for employees of other Dutch universities is € 1300 (no tax).
Certificate of participation
A certificate of participation will be handed out after completing a portfolio consisting of, amongst other things, a presentation of your educational vision, and the design of an intervention that will show an application of the insights of the workshop series.
